The organizers of SIREXE 2026 announced on Saturday, November 7, in Abidjan the confirmation of 36 ministerial delegations from 23 countries for the second edition of the exhibition, scheduled from November 18 to 22 at the Exhibition Park.

Nearly 40 delegations are expected in total, compared to 26 at the first edition in 2024. The opening ceremony is expected to bring together Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara and his Botswanan counterpart Duma Boko, whose country is the guest of honour.

The event is also expected to host more than 6,000 professionals and decision-makers, as well as participants from over 30 countries. The mining, oil, and energy sectors will be at the heart of discussions between public authorities, investors, industrialists, financial institutions, and experts.

Commissioner General Mireille Aka stated at a press conference that the exhibition aims to facilitate investments, local processing of resources, and the development of value chains. The organizers also plan activities targeted at young entrepreneurs and project leaders.

The discussions will focus in particular on transport, logistics, production, and energy distribution infrastructures necessary for the development of extractive industries in Africa. The program includes conferences, professional meetings, exhibitions, trade workshops, a career day, and a hackathon.

Two new initiatives are set to be launched during this edition. SIREXE Invest aims to bring project leaders closer to investors, while the SIREXE Awards are intended to recognize outstanding performances in the relevant sectors.

Botswana must share its experience in mining governance and the development of natural resources. The announced visit of Duma Boko is part of the first mining and energy cooperation agreement concluded between Côte d’Ivoire and Botswana in July 2026.

The first edition of SIREXE, held in 2024, welcomed nearly 50,000 visitors at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre.
