Namibia launched its qualification campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with a 1-0 victory against Congo on Thursday, September 24, at the Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone. The Brave Warriors secured three points in Group G after a match that remained tight until the start of the second half.
Bethuel Muzeu scored the only goal in the 47th minute. The forward headed in a pass from Riaan Hanamub to beat the Congolese defense, according to the official CAF report.

Namibia aims to return to the final phase after participating in the 2023 edition in Ivory Coast. Congo, for its part, has not competed in the Africa Cup of Nations since 2015.
