The PDCI-RDA denounced on Saturday, October 17, 2026, in Abidjan what it describes as pressure on the opposition following the summons of six of its officials before the eighth investigative chamber of the court of first instance.

In a statement signed by its Chief Executive Secretary, Yapo Yapo Calice, the party asserts that the summons were issued starting Thursday, October 15, and that the hearings are scheduled to continue until October 23. Several documents refer to the anti-terrorism section of the court, according to this statement reproduced by Fraternité Matin, KOACI, and APAnews.

The officials concerned are Georges Philippe Ezaley, Alain Cocauthrey, Mandodja M’Bia Roger, Yohou Dia Houphouët Augustin, Fian Hervé, and Kouakou Guillaume. They hold positions of leadership, advisory, or mobilization within the organization chaired by Tidjane Thiam.

An initial note published on October 16 reported five summons and did not mention Kouakou Guillaume. The statement released the following day increased the number to six, a development echoed by several Ivorian media outlets and the African Press Agency.

The initial information made public did not detail the alleged facts. The PDCI-RDA subsequently linked these proceedings to suspicions concerning the violence that occurred during the electoral crisis of October 2025, without any publicly accessible judicial communication specifying at this stage the charges brought against each summoned individual.

The party rejects any assimilation to a criminal or terrorist organization and affirms its support for the pursuit of truth regarding acts of violence. However, it requests that the individuals concerned be granted the presumption of innocence, the assistance of their lawyers, and precise information about the facts attributed to them.

The political party also calls for measures of appeasement and the opening of a national dialogue focusing in particular on public freedoms, electoral guarantees, and trust among political actors. It draws a parallel with previously announced summonses against five leaders of the PPA-CI, another opposition party.

The summonses reported by the PDCI-RDA remain spread over a period from October 15 to 23, 2026. The party has called on its members to remain united and disciplined during the course of these proceedings.
