Ivory Coast will present three integrated agro-industrial hubs at the “Hand in Hand” initiative Investment Forum, held from October 13 to 16, 2026, at the FAO headquarters in Rome, in order to mobilize financial partners for its agricultural transformation.

The Ivorian delegation will be led by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food Crop Production, Bruno Koné. The announced projects cover value chains ranging from production to marketing, including local processing and logistics.

According to the FAO representative in Côte d’Ivoire, Joseph Nyemah, the country intends to use the forum to present structured investment opportunities. The authorities emphasize job creation for young people and women, the improvement of rural incomes, and the increase of national processing capacities.

The meeting brings together governments, development banks, financial institutions, foundations, and private investors. FAO supports the participating countries in identifying territories and sectors where investment can have a measurable impact on poverty, hunger, and inequality.

The Ivorian presence is part of the 2026-2030 National Development Plan, which places significant emphasis on private financing. The challenge will be to move the projects presented from the stage of interest to that of partnerships and financial commitments.

Twenty African countries are expected to present their agri-food investment plans at this edition. The forum is held as part of the World Food Forum organized in Rome from October 8 to 16.
