The Pan-African Congress for Justice and Equality of Peoples (COJEP) launched mobilization on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Yopougon around the fourth anniversary of Charles Blé Goudé’s return to Côte d’Ivoire. The celebrations are set to culminate on November 28 with a new edition of the Festival of Dignity and Hope.
Gathered at the Baron de Yopougon, activists, supporters, and party officials presented the program for this commemoration, which the COJEP intends to open beyond its own members. Secretary General Yavo Martial summed up this approach with a phrase: “Dignity does not carry a membership card. Neither does hope.”
The party is planning, in particular, a mini-summit, a tournament called the Tournament of Hope, and a major celebration at CP1 Square in Yopougon.
The choice of Yopougon, a municipality closely linked to the political career of Charles Blé Goudé, must also serve to remobilize the COJEP structures. “In Yopougon, the mobilization starts now,” declared regional leader Kouadio Charles.
Charles Blé Goudé returned to Côte d’Ivoire in November 2022 after several years spent in The Hague. The COJEP intends to make the 2026 anniversary both a political and activist event as well as a commemoration.
