Bouaké FC opened their 2026-2027 season with a 2-1 victory over AFAD Djékanou on Sunday, September 27, during the first matchday of the Ivorian Ligue 1.
With this success, the Bouaké club earns its first three points in a championship that began on Saturday with the defeat of the reigning champion, ASEC Mimosas, against the promoted Yamoussoukro FC (0-1).
The Bouaké-AFAD match was one of two games of the day to produce three goals. SOA also defeated Stella d’Adjamé by the same score of 2-1.
In the other matches played on Sunday, Zoman FC won 1-0 on the field of FC San Pedro, while SOL FC and ES Agboville each secured a 1-0 away victory, respectively against Olympique FC d’Adiaké and CO Korhogo.
US Tchologo-ISCA and Stade d’Abidjan-Mouna FC completed the schedule with two 0-0 draws.
