Abidjan will host an Ivory Coast–China Economic Forum from December 3 to 5, 2026, at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, announced the Investment Promotion Center in Ivory Coast (CEPICI) following its participation in the World Manufacturing Convention held in Hefei, in the Anhui province of China.
The meeting is intended to turn into concrete projects the contacts made in recent months with Chinese companies in industry, infrastructure, agro-industry, mining, artificial intelligence, robotics, and electric mobility.
Projects of the 2026-2030 National Development Plan at the heart of discussions
In Hefei, the Ivorian delegation led by the Director General of CEPICI, Solange Amichia, presented the projects of the 2026-2030 National Development Plan, notably the seven industrial clusters, sanitation projects, and the industrial zones planned along the Northern highway between PK103 and PK120.
CEPICI aims to position Côte d’Ivoire as an industrial platform for West African markets. The B2B meetings held in China focused on fundraising, infrastructure construction, the assembly of electric vehicles and tricycles, tire manufacturing, textiles, and agro-industrial processing.
An initial announcement made at the end of August in Shanghai still mentioned a forum in November. The communication published after the Hefei convention now specifies the dates as December 3 to 5 and the location as the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan.
The forum is set to bring together investors, businesses, and public stakeholders around the establishment projects and partnerships already identified during the prospecting missions conducted in China.
