The Rubber-Palm Oil-Coconut Council implemented on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in Côte d’Ivoire a rebate of 10 FCFA per kilogram of rubber delivered for the benefit of agricultural production cooperatives, supplemented by a transport differential that can reach 30 FCFA per kilogram.

The measure is included in a statement signed by the Director General of the Council, Edmond Coulibaly, following an evaluation meeting held on October 8 in Abidjan. The institution intends to harmonize marketing conditions and address the imbalances observed in the supply to factories.

The rebate is reserved for production cooperatives listed on the list provided by the Council at the beginning of each campaign. It is payable for deliveries made at the factories’ weighbridges and does not cover the advanced weighbridges.

The transport differential concerns journeys between approved or certified private bridges and the factory weighbridges. Its amount must be negotiated between suppliers and mill operators, within the limit of 10 FCFA per kilogram for less than 100 kilometers, 20 FCFA between 100 and 200 kilometers, and 30 FCFA beyond 200 kilometers.

The Council has also extended the bonus provided for in its decision of April 29, 2026, which had ratified the interprofessional agreement of February 16 on the setting of the purchase price of wet rubber, to all deliveries. This bonus now applies to factory weighbridges, advanced weighbridges, as well as approved or certified private weighbridges.

These adjustments come as the reference price for rubber displayed for October reaches 526 FCFA per kilogram, compared to 484 FCFA in September. The monthly increase is thus 42 FCFA per kilogram, while the rebate remains separate from this price and depends on the status of the cooperative as well as the delivery point.

Failure to comply with the new provisions may result in an immediate suspension of activity for at least one month, without excluding the financial penalties provided for by the regulations.

During the evaluation on October 8, representatives of the regulator, producers, and processors noted that the supply mechanism established in May had not yet produced all the expected effects in a market marked by increased competition for raw materials.
