The Ivorian Observatory for Human Rights (OIDH) is requesting from the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) a detailed status report on the investigations concerning crimes committed in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, fifteen years after the Court was authorized to open its investigations.<\/p>\n
In a letter addressed to The Hague, the organization chaired by Eric-Aim\u00e9 S\u00e9mien requests updated information on the progress of the proceedings, the judicial prospects, and the cases that remain open.<\/p>\n
The process was initiated on October 3, 2026, marking the fifteenth anniversary of the decision by Pre-Trial Chamber III authorizing the ICC Prosecutor to investigate the violence related to the 2010-2011 post-election crisis.<\/p>\n
The OIDH states that it respects the independence of the Office of the Prosecutor and the confidentiality of the proceedings, but believes that a public update on the overall status of the investigations is necessary for the victims and human rights organizations.<\/p>\n
