Namibia launched its qualification campaign for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations with a 1-0 victory against Congo on Thursday, September 24, at the Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone. The Brave Warriors secured three points in Group G after a match that remained tight until the start of the second half.<\/p>\n

Bethuel Muzeu scored the only goal in the 47th minute. The forward headed in a pass from Riaan Hanamub to beat the Congolese defense, according to the official CAF report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The match sheet from FotMob<\/a> confirms the score, the goalscorer, and the minute of the goal. It credits Namibia with five shots on target compared to two for Congo. The Red Devils made more attempts but were unable to equalize after the opening goal.<\/p>\n

This success allows Namibia to keep pace with Cameroon, who also won in their debut in this group. The Indomitable Lions defeated Comoros 3-1<\/a> a few hours later.<\/p>\n
