The outage is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and is tied to ongoing work on the Abidjan metro construction project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The announcement, published on May 14 via SODECI\u2019s official Facebook page, lists the affected areas as Koumassi, Marcory, Vridi, Port-Bou\u00ebt, and Gonzagueville\u2014densely populated and economically significant zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to SODECI, the interruption is necessary due to technical interventions on the potable water network, where existing pipelines intersect with the metro\u2019s planned route. These areas require reconfiguration of key water lines to accommodate the new infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company explained that Sunday was selected for the shutdown to minimize disruption to economic activity, although it acknowledged that residents and businesses should expect inconveniences. While assuring that all measures are in place to restore service \u201cas quickly as possible,\u201d SODECI did not specify when water would be back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company\u2019s Marketing and Customer Relations Department, which issued the notice, apologized for the inconvenience and invited customers to reach out to its call center at 175 or use the \u201cMa SODECI en ligne\u201d mobile app for updates and further information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
