In the video, Marquez can be seen holding a stuffed toy while seated at a table just moments before the fatal shooting. Authorities are treating the incident as a feminicide<\/strong>\u2014a gender-based killing\u2014even though the motive remains unclear. No suspects have been identified so far, and forensic teams are continuing the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Gender-based violence remains a major crisis in Mexico, where the United Nations reports that an average of 10 women or girls are killed daily by partners or family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Marquez had nearly 200,000 followers across TikTok and Instagram.
