The Moroccan right-back, a standout performer for Paris Saint-Germain this season, beat out Ivorian forward <strong>Evann Guessand<\/strong> and Senegalese midfielder <strong>Habib Diarra<\/strong> to claim the prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A finalist last year, Hakimi finally captured the award with a commanding <strong>364 points<\/strong>, finishing well ahead of Guessand (165 points) and Diarra (43 points). According to RFI, he becomes only the <strong>second defender<\/strong> to win the prize after DR Congo\u2019s Chancel Mbemba in 2023, and the fourth Moroccan to receive the honor, following Marouane Chamakh (2009), Youn\u00e8s Belhanda (2012), and Sofiane Boufal (2016).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the world, Hakimi has been instrumental in PSG\u2019s campaign this season. The club remains in contention for a historic treble\u2014<strong>Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the UEFA Champions League<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Moroccan star now turns his focus to <strong>PSG\u2019s Champions League final showdown against Inter Milan on May 31<\/strong>.
