After coaching youth teams at FC Barcelona since retiring in 2017, former goalkeeper Victor Vald\u00e9s is returning to the professional sidelines. The ex-Spain international has been appointed head coach of Real \u00c1vila, a club competing in Spain\u2019s fourth division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s a new chapter for Vald\u00e9s, who signed a contract with the Iberian club that runs through 2026. Having gained experience coaching at La Masia, as well as with Escuela de F\u00fatbol Moratalaz and UE Horta, Vald\u00e9s now takes on the challenge of managing a senior team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Real \u00c1vila C.F. announces that V\u00edctor Vald\u00e9s will be the new head coach of the first team until the end of the current season and for the following campaign. After stepping away from professional football, Vald\u00e9s has coached in Bar\u00e7a’s youth system, as well as at Escuela de F\u00fatbol Moratalaz and UE Horta.
