Speaking to RMC Radio, the ex-Rangers player stated that the 2018 World Cup winner has been a “resounding failure” at Real Madrid. Rothen claimed that Mbapp\u00e9 joined the Spanish giants to fulfill his dream of playing for the club and winning the Ballon d\u2019Or.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the 26-year-old has done nothing of note at the club this season. \u201cPeople keep talking about Kylian Mbapp\u00e9. He joined the club of his dreams with the ambition of winning every trophy, including the Champions League, and to be one of the best players in the world\u2014to win the Ballon d\u2019Or. But both collectively and individually, it\u2019s been a failure,\u201d he said bluntly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHe will not win the Ballon d\u2019Or this year. It\u2019s a complete flop,\u201d Rothen added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
