The month of March 2025 was particularly tragic on Burkina Faso\u2019s roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a report released Monday evening by the Ministry of Security, a total of 1,456 road accidents were recorded across the country, resulting in 99 deaths and 1,357 injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The regions most affected are Centre, Hauts-Bassins, and Centre-Ouest, which account for a large share of the incidents. Authorities are deeply concerned by the rising number of road accident victims, which continues to grow year after year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fact, the National Fire Brigade (BNSP) recorded 619 road-related deaths in 2024, compared to 553 in 2023\u2014an alarming increase of nearly 12%. In response to this surge in accidents, the Ministry of Security has renewed its call for road users to strictly adhere to traffic laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
