Below is a summary of the decisions taken by the governmental conclave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"i-mesures-normatives.\"><strong>I- Normative measures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Among these measures, the following texts were adopted<em><strong> <\/strong><\/em>implementing law n\u00b02017-29 of March 15, 2018 on radiological safety and nuclear security in the Republic of Benin. The decrees in question concern:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>regulation of the safe transport of radioactive materials;<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>powers, composition, organization and operation of the Benin Atomic Energy Commission;<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>regulation of radiological safety and radiation protection; as well as those establishing<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>the conditions of exercise of the function of inspector of radiological safety, nuclear security and nuclear safeguards; then<\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>the categories of radiological facilities subject to decommissioning, and the content and implementation conditions of the decommissioning plan.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ii-communications.\"><strong>II- Communications<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ii-mission-controle-surveillance-travaux-construction-nouveau-barrage-lifo.\"><strong>II-1<\/strong>. <strong>Inspection and monitoring of construction work on the new Lifo dam<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>This hydraulic infrastructure, currently under construction, is part of a project to reinforce the drinking water supply system for the towns of Sav\u00e8, Dassa-Zoum\u00e9, Glazou\u00e9 and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the updated 21-month schedule, it has proved essential to define a new contractual framework for the organization of the control and supervision mission, in order to guarantee the solidity of the entire structure and ensure optimal management of the worksite, with a view to timely completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason, the Board agreed to enter into a contract with the consortium selected for this purpose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ii-etudes-architecturales-techniques-missions-suivi-controle-projet-construction-ecole-metiers-tourisme-hotellerie-restauration.\"><strong>II-2<\/strong>. <strong>Architectural and technical studies, monitoring and control of the Ecole des M\u00e9tiers du Tourisme, H\u00f4tellerie et Restauration construction project.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>This project is part of a program to build\/rehabilitate modern agricultural training establishments, trade schools and vocational technical high schools. The aim is to develop apprentices&#8217; skills for employment in priority economic sectors at national and even sub-regional level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the effective implementation of this project, the Agence pour la Construction des Infrastructures du Secteur de l&#8217;Education (ACISE) led the process of identifying a prime contractor to carry out the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Board therefore authorized the contract with the identified firm, with the onus on the ministers concerned to ensure that the tasks entrusted to it are properly carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"iii-rencontres-manifestations-internationales.\"><strong>III- International meetings and events<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The following events were authorized under this heading:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>the official launch of the 2025-2026 agricultural campaign, on April 11, 2025 in Dassa-Zoum\u00e9; <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>an international conference of the Groupe Initiative Afrique (GIAf) from May 8 to 11, 2025 in Cotonou; then <\/li>\n\n\n\n\n\n<li>benin&#8217;s participation in the 58th session of the Commission on Population and Development, from April 7 to 11, 2025 in New York, USA.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Cotonou, March 19, 2025, <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>The Secretary General of the Government,<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Edouard OUIN-OURO.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Wednesday March 19, 2025, the government of the rupture held its weekly conclave in the presence of the Head of State, President Patrice Talon.
