The current president of FECAFOOT, Samuel Eto’o, is expected at the headquarters of the African Football Confederation (CAF) in Cairo on April 17, 2024, for an official summons.

Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) is due to arrive in Cairo next week. He is to respond to a summons from the African Football Confederation (CAF) on April 17, 2024. According to sources reported by Africa Intelligence, this summons could determine the future of the legendary footballer as head of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

“Samuel Eto’o is expected to explain himself at the headquarters of the African Football Confederation on April 17, 2024,” indicated the site Africa Intelligence, as relayed by other media.

The same source continues by adding: “he is suspected of having favored the promotion of certain teams from the Cameroonian Elite Two (League 2) to Elite One (League 1). The suspicions particularly concern Victoria united football club, the champions of the 2022-2023 season, whose president, Valentin Nkwain, is a close associate of Samuel Eto’o.”
