HomeSportFootballLa Liga: Barcelona crowned Spanish champions for the 28th time

Barcelona have clinched their 28th La Liga title following a 2–0 victory over Espanyol on Thursday, sealing their triumph in the Catalan derby on Matchday 36.

With goals from rising star Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez, the Blaugrana secured a well-deserved win that crowned them champions of Spain once again. Yamal opened the scoring with a stunning effort, while Lopez added the second to cap off a dominant performance.

Under the guidance of head coach Hansi Flick, Barça complete a domestic treble—a testament to their consistent form throughout the season. The title could have been decided a day earlier, but Real Madrid’s dramatic stoppage-time winner against Mallorca on Wednesday briefly delayed Barcelona’s coronation.

Now officially La Liga champions, Barcelona stand once more atop Spanish football.
