Ivory Coast: Moroccan ambassador bids farewell to President Ouattara

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara received Abdelmalek Kettani, the outgoing Ambassador of Morocco, at the Presidential Palace in Abidjan, marking the end of the diplomat’s mission in Côte d’Ivoire.

During this farewell visit, both officials highlighted the strong and growing cooperation between Ivory Coast and the Kingdom of Morocco. Ambassador Kettani expressed his pride in having contributed to strengthening the bonds of friendship and partnership between the two nations.

He also conveyed his hope that this dynamic relationship would continue to flourish, particularly through joint projects in the industrial, tourism, and infrastructure sectors, along with broader multisectoral partnerships.

Kettani praised the progress made by Ivory Coast under President Ouattara’s leadership, and encouraged the country to stay the course on stability and development.

To conclude, the ambassador extended an invitation to all Ivorians to actively support and attend the 35th Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted by Morocco from December 2025 to January 2026.
