A’Salfo, the lead vocalist of the Ivorian zouglou group, Magic System, has recently spoken out about married life.

When asked about the importance of marriage in an artist’s life, the famous Ivorian singer and member of the zouglou quartet Magic System, A’Salfo, whose real name is Salif Traoré, gave a rather wise response. He even used himself as an example. According to him, his marriage has brought a certain stability.

Marriage is something that stabilizes us. If you notice, all the big stars, those who got married early, are the ones who were able to organize their life. When there is marriage, it leads you to say, ‘Look, I have responsibilities, I no longer belong to myself alone. I have a wife, I have children at home, their future depends on me.’ So, it leads you consciously to rebalance your own position,” he expressed.

A’Salfo continued by adding that he is where he is today thanks to his marriage. “I got married in 2007 when I realized that my career was going to take a different turn. If I had waited until 2020 to get married, I’m not sure that I would be the A’Salfo you’re interviewing today,” he shared.
