The Ivorian government and the main trade union organizations of the public service have begun preparing for the post-2027 period, one year before the expiration of the social truce signed for the 2022-2027 period.

The Minister of State in charge of the Civil Service, Anne Désirée Ouloto-Lamizana, called on Wednesday, September 30, to consolidate achievements, assess commitments already fulfilled, and continue reviewing the cases still under discussion with social partners.

Three consultation meetings by November

The Public Service Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet on October 15. The sectoral social dialogue committees are also set to resume their work during the month within the various ministries, ahead of a meeting of the Social Dialogue Committee in the Public Service announced for November.

The file concerning the bonuses claimed for all civil servants remains under review. The minister indicated that the decisions would be communicated once they have been made.

The Trade Union G8, which brings together the eight central unions and organizations signatories of the 2022-2027 social truce, has on its part reaffirmed its willingness to negotiate and seek compromises, while stating its intention to defend the interests of workers.

The sequence initiated this week aims to avoid waiting for the expiration of the current agreement to define the next framework for social dialogue.
