The social media world was recently shaken by a heart-wrenching video from Gabonese singer Creol. Overwhelmed with tears, she shared her ordeal of being attacked by unidentified individuals.

Although Creol did not reveal the identity of her assailants, numerous Gabonese and international figures have expressed their solidarity. However, another Gabonese artist, named Aicha Wannel, speculated that Creol was looking to generate negative buzz to draw attention, given her recent musical silence.

Further developments have uncovered that indeed, Janice Aurore Moussitou Mackaya was taken by force following a confrontation with the police in Akanda, Gabon. Reportedly, a conflict broke out after she refused to comply with a patrol’s demands and began filming the incident. The situation escalated to a physical confrontation, and the incident is now under judicial investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of this altercation with law enforcement.
