Day 5 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers continues this Thursday, March 20, with several matches in Africa.

At 13:00 GMT, Mozambique, co-leader of Group G with Algeria, will attempt to consolidate their position against Uganda. At 16:00 GMT, a number of tight matches are scheduled, including Zimbabwe-Benin, an important duel for the Beninese Cheetahs, who must win to stay in the hunt in this hotly contested group. Cape Verde take on Mauritius as favorites, while Sierra Leone face Guinea-Bissau.

At 19:00 GMT, Libya, now coached by Aliou Cissé, have the chance to take top spot in Group D if they beat Angola. At the same time, Gabon host Seychelles with the aim of putting pressure on Côte d’Ivoire at the top of the standings.

The evening concludes with a clash at 21:00 GMT between Comoros and Mali. Second with 9 points, the Comorian team could take first place if they beat the Malian Eagles, currently 4th with 5 points.
