Mali secured a second consecutive victory in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers by winning 1-0 in Liberia on Tuesday, September 29, in Monrovia.

The Eagles had to wait until the 79th minute to make the difference. Ange Martial Tia took advantage of a pass from Kamory Doumbia and a missed intervention by the Liberian defense to score the only goal of the match.

Two goals in two appearances for Tia

The Reims striker is thus continuing a remarkable start with the Malian national team. He now has two goals in his first two international appearances.

Mali began their campaign with a 3-1 victory against Cape Verde. This second win allows them to remain at the top of Group K with six points.

Liberia, which had secured a draw in Rwanda on the first matchday, remains on one point after two games.
