Burkina Faso: several hundred terrorists neutralized in an operation

During the first fortnight of March, several hundred terrorists were “neutralized” during anti-terrorist operations carried out in various localities in Burkina Faso, according to the local press.

According to the Agence d’information du Burkina (AIB), quoting the army, ground units, supported by air assets, intensified their fight against armed terrorist groups during this period.

Several hundred criminals were neutralized on various fronts, and a significant quantity of war material was destroyed or recovered”, the same source states.

These operations mainly took place in the Boucle du Mouhoun (west) and Centre-Nord regions, according to Radiodiffusion Télévision du Burkina (RTB, public television), which broadcast images of the operations.

In the Pensa area, located in the Centre-Nord region, the army carried out an offensive on Monday, surprising and “neutralizing” enemy lookouts while recovering equipment, RTB added.
