Benin: the government announces the construction of a modern courthouse in Malanville

On Wednesday March 26, 2025, the Beninese government approved the complete project management mission for the construction of the Malanville Court of First Instance. The aim of this decision is to provide the locality with modern judicial infrastructures adapted to the requirements of the sector.

According to the Council of Ministers, the work will provide the court with premises that meet the requirements of a modern jurisdiction. The aim is to improve working conditions for magistrates and facilitate access to justice for the populations of the north of the country.

The future court will meet modern standards, with areas dedicated to hearings, prisoner security, case management and archive storage. The government stresses that it will guarantee efficiency and rigor in the administration of justice.

To ensure the quality of the work, an experienced firm has been selected to manage the project. The ministers concerned are responsible for ensuring that the commitments made are respected. This project is part of the modernization and reinforcement of Benin’s judicial system, aimed at making justice more accessible and efficient.
