A household appliance repair workshop and a residence were destroyed by a fire on Friday, October 2, in the Texas neighborhood of Arrah, with no injuries or fatalities reported.
The fire, reported around 11 a.m., is believed to have started in the workshop before spreading to a wooden shed and then to the roof of a neighboring house. The equipment in the workshop was destroyed, and part of the ceiling of the residence was damaged.

In the absence of immediate intervention by specialized emergency services, residents of the neighborhood organized themselves to contain the fire using water available on site. The blaze was brought under control after approximately thirty minutes.
The civilian firefighters of Moronou then clarified that the vehicle seen in a video circulated on social media was not part of their service. Their fire station is based in Bongouanou.
The exact causes of the fire have not been officially established. Residents have mentioned the possibility of haphazard electrical connections, although no expert analysis has yet confirmed this hypothesis.
