Amadou Sall, the son of former Senegalese President Macky Sall, is now officially wanted by international law enforcement. An international arrest warrant has been issued for him as part of a high-profile financial and political scandal known as the “10 billion CFA affair.”
Currently outside the country, Amadou Sall is suspected of playing a central role in a case that has gripped public attention. According to multiple local media outlets, he is considered one of the key figures in a complex web of financial misconduct.
The warrant follows his failure to appear before judicial authorities after being summoned last Thursday. This absence reportedly triggered the move to escalate proceedings and seek his arrest beyond national borders.
The investigation has already led to significant developments. Ndèye Seynabou Ndiaye, administrator of a bank account at NSIA Banque, has been placed in pre-trial detention. Investigators allege that the disputed funds flowed through this account under her authorization.
Another individual named in the case, Abdou Karim Mbacké, has been granted provisional release but remains under judicial supervision throughout the ongoing inquiry.
Described by observers as “sensational” and potentially destabilizing, the scandal may implicate several prominent figures in Senegal’s political and financial elite.
