The 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations group stage continues this Thursday with the final matches of Group C, as teams battle for the last remaining quarter-final spots.

Defending champions Senegal face a must-win situation as they take on the Democratic Republic of Congo at New Suez Stadium in Egypt. After a 1-0 loss to Ghana and a disappointing 1-1 draw with the Central African Republic, the Teranga Cubs are under pressure to deliver a win and keep their title hopes alive.

Meanwhile, DRC come into the clash with more breathing room. Sitting atop the group with four points, the young Leopards can count on rising stars Samuel Ntanda and Messy Manitu to secure a place in the knockout stage.

In the day’s other fixture, Ghana face off against the Central African Republic. A win would see the Black Satellites clinch a second group victory, while the CAR team will be hoping to spring a surprise and snatch qualification.

Thursday’s fixtures (GMT)

  • 15:00 — Senegal vs DR Congo
  • 15:00 — Central African Republic vs Ghana
