HomeSportFootballPremier League: Liverpool Crowned English Champions for the 20th Time

Liverpool have been crowned champions of England for the 20th time in their history following a resounding 5-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday.

Liverpool are back on top of English football. The Reds clinched the Premier League title after a dominant performance against Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday evening. This marks the 20th league title in the club’s storied history, allowing them to equal Manchester United’s record.

A draw would have been enough for Liverpool to secure the title, but the Merseysiders chose to put on a show against a helpless Spurs side. Luis Díaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah all found the net in a rampant attacking display. Dominic Solanke scored Tottenham’s lone goal.

With this result, Liverpool sit on 82 points after 34 matches, with four games still to play before the season concludes. The battle for second place remains open between Arsenal (67 points), Newcastle (62), and Manchester City (61).
