Liverpool’s Mac Allister responds to Real Madrid interest

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has addressed rumors linking him with a move to Real Madrid, firmly ruling out any departure this summer.

Like several Premier League clubs, Real Madrid is expected to be very active during the upcoming transfer window. After a rather unconvincing season, with noticeable gaps across several positions, Los Blancos are reportedly planning multiple signings to strengthen their squad.

Among the names circulating in the Spanish press is Liverpool’s standout performer, Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentine international has been pivotal this season, featuring in 46 matches and scoring six goals across all competitions.

Mac Allister cools Real Madrid speculation

Reacting to the supposed interest from Real Madrid, the Argentine made it clear he intends to stay at Liverpool. Refusing to get caught up in media speculation, the former Brighton player emphasized that many of these rumors are baseless:

“I read the rumors and the news reaches me, but what matters is the present. I’m happy at Liverpool, I have a lot of respect for the club, and I don’t think it’s necessary to talk about other institutions,” said the 2022 World Cup winner in an interview with TyC Sports.

Mac Allister joined Liverpool in 2023 from Brighton and has been a key figure for the Reds over the past two seasons. It remains to be seen whether the Argentine will continue under Arne Slot beyond this summer.
