Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he would have become an actor if he hadn’t pursued a career in music.

The Nigerian singer explained that he would have worked behind the scenes in the entertainment industry had he not been an artist. He also shared that he is a talented actor and would have considered acting as a serious path.

“I studied business marketing, so I would’ve always been in entertainment [even if I weren’t singing], but probably more behind the scenes,” Davido said during a recent conversation with content creator Darryl.

“I’m investing in a few movies this year. Big shout-out to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have upcoming ideas and series. The African film industry is currently underfunded. So, we’re definitely going to take advantage of that,” he added.

“I can also act. I can really act. I act in my music videos. I acted in videos like ‘Jowo’ and ‘Nwa Baby’,” he concluded.
